At the awards ceremony hosted by the Sapporo Chamber of Commerce and Industry on January 23^rd at the Sapporo Park Hotel, With U Co., Ltd. was honored to receive the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) award in the category of Regional and Societal Contributions.

With U was recognized for its achievements in areas such as publicity for the “Kodomo 110-ban no Mise” community safety project and the promotion and distribution of safety handbooks (shared with first-year elementary school students throughout Sapporo by mascots Molly and Eme). The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force band performed the national anthem and provided musical accompaniment for the opening ceremony, lending an air of gravity to the proceedings.

President and CEO Atsuko Ueno was accompanied by Vice President and COO Yukako Yamaguchi to the gala dinner, where Hokkaido Governor Harumi Takahashi welcomed guests with a stirring speech, and Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto offered congratulations to the evening’s honorees. Dinner consisted of a variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Western dishes featuring local ingredients, accompanied by glasses of Hokkaido wine noted by all for their elegant flavor. The ceremonial atmosphere gave way to amiable exchanges among the guests, in what proved to be delightful evening for all.
