Molly and Eme Participate in Ribbon de Tsunago! Hokkaido 2015 Promotional Events
Molly and Eme participated in Sapporo Beer Dosanko Appreciation Day events held at Sapporo Factory on Saturday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 5th.
Main character Molly and her compatriot Eme from With U Co., Ltd.’s Happy Ningels participated in promotional Ribbon de Tsunagō! Hokkaido 2015 events on Saturday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 5th, during Sapporo Beer Dosanko Appreciation Day at Sapporo Factory (located at Kita 1-jo Higashi 4-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo).
Sapporo Beer Dosanko Appreciation Day events were held in four locations throughout Hokkaido on Saturday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 5th, 2015. At the Sapporo Factory venue, a media-oriented kick-off event for the Ribbon de Tsunagō! Hokkaido 2015 Project was held starting at 11:50 AM on Saturday. After the mascots were introduced one after another by the event host, they were greeted in front of the stage by Ribbon-chan. Gearing up for further publicity relating to the “Kodomo 110-ban no Mise” campaign (part of the Sapporo-based campaign promoting regional safety for which they are registered), Molly and Eme were given a warm welcome by the Ribbon brand mascot as they made their way on stage.
Following introductions for all the yuru kyara (regional and promotional mascots) assembled, details were announced regarding this year’s Ribbon de Tsunagō! Hokkaido Project. The project originated in 2011, when it was first held in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ribbon Napolin, the popular Pokka Sapporo Food & Beverage Limited product. With children representing the future of Hokkaido, the project encourages them to take pride in their local roots, as mascots from around the prefecture join hands alongside Ribbon-chan to promote the charms of Hokkaido. This year, the total number of mascots participating in the project reached 169.
33 different yuru kyara came together at the Sapporo Factory venue—including “Terebi-Tosan” and “Dokodemo Yukichan,” with whom Molly and Eme have previously shared the stage—where they finished up the event with a group photo session.
For the Hokkaido Regional Mascot Quiz Game held beginning at 2:30 PM on Sunday, Molly and Eme were joined by Ribbon-chan and three local mascots, together providing entertainment for a crowd that easily filled the venue.
During a weekend full of events at Sapporo Factory, Molly and Eme enjoyed the opportunity to meet and greet fans and new friends.
